Here are the Chelsea morning headlines for Wednesday, June 24.
Havertz talks ongoing with Bayer
Chelsea remain in negotiations with Bayer Leverkusen over a summer deal for Kai Havertz, according to The Athletic .
The 21-year-old midfielder, who has scored 16 goals this term, is one of the most-coveted players in Europe with the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Manchester United, Liverpool and Bayern Munich supposedly interested.
Yet Chelsea appear to be front of the queue and have held talks with Bayer over a transfer, although it’s unlikely the Blues will match the German club’s current £90million valuation.

Double contract agreement confirmed
Willian and Pedro will remain with Chelsea until the 2019/20 Premier League campaign is concluded after signing short-term deals with the club .
The experienced wingers were free to walk away from Stamford Bridge on June 30, the date on which their previous contracts expired.
However, after productive talks with Frank Lampard and director Marina Granovskaia, the Brazilian and the Spaniard have both opted to remain with Chelsea for the remainder of the season.
It’s a big boost for Lampard given his side are hoping to secure a top-four finish in the Premier League, are in the FA Cup quarter final and are still in the Champions League.
Richards reveals Abraham fear
The arrival of Timo Werner this summer could have a negative effect on Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham, according to former defender Micah Richards.
Abraham has enjoyed an impressive first season in the Blues first team and has struck 15 goals in all competitions.
That didn’t stop Chelsea from spending big, however, to land Werner from RB Leipzig as they attempt to re-establish themselves as genuine Premier League title contenders.
“I just don’t know how you can have Tammy and Timo Werner [in the same team],” Richards said on BBC Radio Five Live.

“He drifts a lot to the left and obviously he’s got electric pace but because they’ve both got striker mentalities, the way Frank Lampard likes to play with high intensity, I don’t know if you can have them both in the same team.
“I think it’s going to be either-or.”
The ex-Manchester City star added: “Healthy competition is good but when Tammy scored so many goals this season, I’d just be a little bit disheartened, a big-money striker coming in.
“You already know you’ve got to compete for your place.”
